Re: a little snow, poor johnnie !Picture heavey!

OMG!! That is way too much snow. Just the thought of digging out of that mess hurts my back!! On the other hand, it would be fun to cross country ski in all that. I still have my cross country skis and boots that I got in Germany.

To save electricity, plug all the plugs in a surge protector strip and switch off or unplug the strip every night.

Re: Thank you Sheila D. and Kathy G.

Thanks--that was one of those must-publish photos for sure!! Avalon's photo is just the sweetest photo I've ever seen. I love it more than I love any photo ever taken of any of my dogs (except maybe Xena's "throw it throw it throw it" portrait). I wish more people would go to you for their...

Re: How did you spend your weekend?

I mainly just did some errands and shopping and cookie baking on Saturday morning then sat around watching Korean drama episodes online and knitting a cabled cardigan in the afternoon and evening. Sunday I went down to Chris's field to work Suzie on sheep (for the first time in a couple years). I am...

Re: So much for spring being around the corner....

It actually started snowing a little bit here, too, but I don't think we will get that much--maybe an inch before it moves on. The crystals are very small and not coming down all that hard.

Re: So much for spring being around the corner....

Well, woke up this morning to... nothing... it hadn't even rained here. Right now there is a light mist of something frozenish--wintry mix, I think they call it. And it's windy. I guess we were just too far to the west of the big stuff!

Ohhhh so that big wind that blew through here earlier wasn't wind, it was a big sign of relief from Houston. That's good to know! ;-) Congrats, Shelly! I hope you are very happy in that job (and benefits! wooo hoooo!!).

Re: Lefty or Righty?

I write with my right hand, but use my left hand equally for a lot of other things (knitting, playing guitar chords). I do most heavy lifting and carrying with my left hand/arm. One of my sons is a lefty and one of his sons and his daughter are lefties.
