It's not strictly Aussie-related, but here's a website that does a lot of transport coordinating (I visit this site often too). If you want to stick to Aussies, there is an occasional Aussie that needs transporting through there...but there is no end to other breeds/mixes/animals!

There is also the AussieCUR. you can look it up in yahoogroups. I would also send a note to the reps in your area and So. Cal. I don't manage their transports, so I'm not sure how their do their thang. ;)

Inara sounds like my Joy but joy is eventually letting you pet her, after she has fully determinded you are not the boogy man, and Xander sounds just like Max, Bella says stay away and I will be happy.

Inara will let some folks pet her (just not usually at ARPH booths)...and she has many friends now. :) A long way from the freaked out little dog that I adopted that wouldn't even come to me.

Thanks Amy for posting the pics of Lucy. She is a great girl and we are lucky to have her here with us forever. I promise to figure out the whole picture thing and start posting lots of pics of both girls.

Thats a great picture of Lucy at the door! What a lucky girl to find a good home. Now its Molly's turn to find a loving home who will totally spoil her!

To those of you who foster, I have a question. :)
Do you worry when your foster goes to their new home that they will get the same time and patience that you have given?
Being my first time fostering, I worry about this dog getting a home that understands her little fears and having the patience to deal with it.
I know they are screened and placed very carefully but I still worry.

I try to remember at the end of the day: this is not my dog. Doesn't always work... but soemtimes it helps.

As for the placement being up to snuff.. yeah i worry, as do the foster homes, but I think that's part of the reason i try to have the foster homes so involved in the process. I want them to feel comfortable and supported. It's my style and not everyone does this. If you're worried, let your rep know your concerns and that you'd like to be involved in the placement process. :D

This is such a cute photo. Leslie Rose, one of ARPH's PA foster homes always has a foster or two, as well as her own 4 Aussies. This particular red boy sees a camera and hides. He is soooo camera shy it took them forever to get a photo. This was one of the hiding photos...
